Not knowing better, cleaned clearcoat overspray off of gauge with acetone

And the plastic over the rpm gauge is blurred. I tried some 2000 grit followed by rubbing compound and machine polish and it helped a bit. Anything else anyone has done that might have helped?

Good luck, acetone will permeantly cloud acrylic...

there really is no fix other then replacement. Acetone changes the molecular structure of plastic...kinda melts it so to speak all the way through...

Either of these products with lots of elbow grease and patience will help, like others have said the acetone is really bad for clear plastic, but you should be able to get it clear enough to be usable.
