I am new to the Hartwell Lake area and am looking for a reputable shop to take the Hayabusa too when it is time to change the tires or for any maintenance I cannot do myself.

I was looking around and saw authorized dealers in Toccoa, Anderson and of course Greenville. I would like to know where you folks take your bike to have the tires changed out.

Thanks

I used to take my blackbird to a shop in Spartanburg, but they are closed now. I bought my busa at a dealer called Cycle Specialties in Taylors (right between Greenville and Greer). I will probably take it there for tires. I used to do them myself, but it is a great deal of work wrestling around on the garage floor amusing my neighbors. I have a friend who lives in Anderson and always takes his busa to Foothills which is in Easly. He seems to be happy with them. Taylors is pretty far to travel. He does not take his bike to any Anderson dealerships.

May be a little to far for you to ride, but in hendersonville there is a shop named dal kawa. Its the best around this area in my opinion.

Sous,
If you have the time make the trip to Greenville and see the technicians at
Cycle Specialities. They have been outstanding for me.
I just had a set of Bridgestone 016's put on mine then dyno'd.
Please take a look at the dyno on youtube.
The title for the video is below.

"2009 Hayabusa dyno M4 exhaust 185HP"

And can I get a "HELL YEAH!"

Hoser,
I saw your post for the trip to Blood Mountain(the triangle)
I am thinking of going to the Blue Ridge Parkway out of Greer via Hwy 11, Hwy 178 that way Sat morning early.
Anyone want to join let me know?
How long does your trip take and how many riders you have going?

Thanks for the post Greywolf, I actually work in Greenville and live in GA. I will go check out your video and would love it to get a tune by these guys than to have to go all the way to NC for a good tune.

Your bike looks nice, hope to meet up with you one day.

Did you have the bike tuned via PC3 or ECU editor?

I have my bike all apart right now, but only have the cruise control left to put on it after doing my winter mods. Let me know about the tune and I may end up giving these guys a call as I have M4 Retro slip ons and would like to ensure the bike is running in top shape.

Cycle specialities does some great work, call up ask to speak to Chris Moore, he runs the shop, very reasonable with pricing and it helps that the guy that races is able to work on bikes and tune them as well!:beerchug::beerchug:

I will give them a call tomorrow. The one thing that may be a deal breaker though is if they are not familiar with ECU editor, I do not want to go the PC3 route.

Great news! Cycle Specialists in Greenville are familiar with ECU editor and have done many dyno tunes in this method. I called and talked to Chris this morning and he was very helpful. I will be getting back with them shortly for a custom dyno tune this spring.

Thanks for the heads up on Cycle Specialists as they are much closer to my home.

Suos,
We can get together sometime, I would like that.
What I would like the most it to really gather the forces, all these Busa riders and Rumble the streets.
The first Bike Night at Quaker State and Lube in Greenville is the 6th of April,
Might be a good time? Or that weekend.
I am a Maintenance Technician but know nothing about dyno tuning a bike.
You would have to ask Chris what they did to the bike, all I know is it runs like hell and feels a lot lighter than with those stock pipes, and OH DOES IT LOOK GOOD!.
Thanks for the compliments.

I will be going to Chris for sure for a tune. He told me they have done many ECU Editor jobs and he is very familiar with it. Also, he is cheaper and closer than the alternative. I could not get Lees Performance to give me a solid quote after talking to them for over 2 months.
