Rhythm I do count you as one of my friends here at the org. but when I was in Japan I was ask to leave many an establishment because I could not speak enough Nighon to order, I was not insulted I merely went out and got a translation book and learned what I could in the short time I was there (4 years is not enough time to learn Japanese at least not for me). When I lived in Ecuador we would get kicked out of taxis because we could not speak enough Spanish so I move the hell back up here LOL. Anyway I think what you are saying is this is going to swing way to the left and divide this country even more then it is. I think that where ever you live here you should be able to some how effectively communicate with the indigenous personnel. Just HMO my friend.

Seriously GB,you know like I do its common for the locals not to like many of the servicemen in most overseas area because of a bad few apples in the past.

It's just the same thing going here, with the illegals foriegnr making thing bad for all non english speaking individuals !

And if you're going to be so poetic use the phrase "running towards" not "too" which should be spelled "to" anyway.

If he wins in court, I'd expect this type of sign to start popping up an many more establishments. I also imagine his business will increase signifigantly. There are enough insecure individuals out there that will go out of their way if they think less (or no) forigners will be there.

I'm sorry but kids shouldn't have to be bi-lingual to work at Mickey-D's. If we continue to let it go, we will all have to learn Spanish. If you can't point and grunt, order by number, or write down what you want, maybe you should just go to the store and cook your own food.
