sup ppl!.... i found this site yesterday and i checked everything i can . don't know why but i was suddenly crazy about bikes.. yeah on my final week.. then i found hayabusa to be the coolest thing there is ... and i want one so so so so bad....

bad news is i'm 17 and my parents probably ... ya know...
i'm totally ready to die here ... if i crashed into something i wouldn't even say xxxx...

well... i have a chance of getting one tho, should i attend a few courses and maybe get my license first or get a bike first?
by the way i drive .. and perhaps i'll have insurance problem over the bike !! too much problems and ... i'm only 17.. !!!@^%*& i'll just watch you guys kick ass until i get to ride ...

Take the MSF riders course first and foremost. You will ba able to get your license upon completion and you will be able to determine if you have the natural instincts to quickly learn the skills you need for motorcycling there. Insurance will probably kill you, even if you get basic liability. But, if you really want this as a bike, look around, do some research and learn all you can before you just jump into it.

The Busa is the fastest production bike made right now, I have been riding off and on since I was 10 or so, and I have a new found respect for the Busa. I got a chance to ride the Captain's one time and it scared the #### outta me, I am not exagerating one bit. If you have never had a sport bike before then I would not reccomend that you start with the fastest thing on two wheels. A Gixxer 600 or an R6 are both very fast bikes and are able to do what the big boys do. Ride for a couple of summers and then upgrade. Anyone that has ridden for any amount of time will back me up on this, some might even say that the 600's might still be too much for a starter bike. Katana's are good 1st time bikes and the insurance rate will be better for you. Just my two cents..

woot ty ty guys.... i was so dumb to post that i want a busa.... heh after seeing it in da shop i thought a 600 would kill me in no time already

but anywayz busa is my goal... and if i live that long then.. i'll get it! ... the MSF course is gay by the way... i read online their next starting date is more than a month from now

is there any private riding school out there? i'm not sure if i can wait a month more

Nobody is going to take you seriously talking like that... just my 2¢.

Anyway, if you are serious and want to get an early spot, call them and ask to be put on a call-back waiting list. You can also go to their next class and wait for someone not to show. If they don't, pay and get in. I did the call-back and filled a cancellation in less than 24 hours. Otherwise I would have waited 4 months.

Take the gay msf course it might save your young life then go to a track school  like Keith Code's there are plenty of advanced riding schools . Join a club like the Northeast Sportbike Association and get in some track time you have plenty of time to hon your skills.A good starting bike would be a Ninja 500 or a YZF600R  a Katana. The most important thing is to stay healthy so when your ready to ride a BUSA you can ride it to its potential and enjoy pure performance.

Anyone that has the wrong attitude before purchasing a Busa does not need to own one. I have lived and seen the tiger by the tail attitude. That attitude will get you killed I promise. Respect and understanding that you are not indestructable is important because half the fun of riding the Hayabusa is understanding and respecting the power and speed.

I'll agree with you captain I do not think the busa if a good first ride it's a sweet bike but will get you in big trouble if you don't have a lot of riding experience. Knebnr

Hey all.... I am new..... I was just readin this post and think that you have a good taste in bikes but you need to start on a 500cc.  I am only 22years old and have been ridin since I was about 11.... I  started on a 125cc then moved to a 500cc and then a 700cc only to move up to the busa which I found was way too much bike. I have had it for a year now and every time I ride it the damn thing makes me change my underwear. In short... not a good first bike!  I am not bustin your balls just warning you....and by the way the safety course will teach you alot...but if you must get anything now you could get a temp. license...at least you can do that in Florida anyway. If you go to test ride a bike they won't let you unless you have a motorcycle license.

Hey Jax,Welcome to the board. The Busa is a kick in the pants isn't it? It's good to see your post and hope that others will read it as well. Injoy the Busa.
Jim

I thought I knew it all also, until I took the MSF rider course.   I have taken both the MSF Basic and Experienced rider courses, I learned something new from both courses and feel like I'm a better rider.

Be safe and respect the power of any motorcycle...

like was stated earlier, start on a smaller bike unless you want to kill yourself. The power and speed is just unreal with completely stock. Get some experience, find out if you really do like it, then move your way up. Besides, when you start at the top, where do you go from there?

does this count as smaller bike first:

Kawasaki LTD KZ1000K ?
15,000 miles combined Oregon, Washington, Arizona, and Colorado. That was my first street bike. Quick for a first. Ran circles around a hurricane1100 that was driven by a drooling slack-jawed yokel.

2nd bike, the mighty busa. 2000 miles on her, and not afraid to twist the throttle til she begs for an upshift. I hate redline.

So many good bikes out there. You need to find one that fits your needs and temperment. I doubt that it would be a Busa. T know that at 17 I would not have encouraged my boys (18 & 23) to ride one. The question is why start with one of the ultimate bikes. That is no different then starting with a performance car for your first car. take it slow.

By the way onlydonotalk Welcome to the board. What ever you decide to do just take it easy and learn. Do you have any riding experience? If not take the course. It will make getting your licence a lot easier. The track courses are a little costly but would be worth it. I have been riding since I was 10 and I'm still thinking of taking one.

OMG
Don't people learn? I think they post here to get us going with their attitudes n stuff.
Kid if your going to ride take a course, you will need it. Too many situations arise where if you don't have the skills you won't save the bike!!

Tell me something,.
If you approach an intersection and guy descides at the last second to go left in front of you what do you do there?
Just a basic question. This is something that WILL happen alot.
Hey, my .02
