I was just thinking how easy it would be to make these wheels adaptable (Think Central Tire Inflation) to various off-road conditions. Make them stiffer or softer depending on need.

All kinds of applications... Armored vehicles aren't going to be hindered by tracks or heavy runflats...

That's the whole point. You pay a $150 bucks every 4K miles as it is. What's it going to cost to replace an entire wheel/tire combo every 4K miles.
