Anyone on here from New Orleans... Or visit there a lot? My wife wants to ditch the kids and go there for an extended weekend vacation. I've been once, back in 2006, and I remember it being a cool place but I don't remember the neighborhood I stayed in, let alone the hotel I stayed at. All I remember is that I was within walking distance of Bourbon st, the French Quarter wasn't far, and It was a stones through away from a trolly that took me to the old grave yards. Does anyone know which areas of town I should be looking for another hotel? I want to be able to walk anywhere we go and the hotel needs to have that good old New Orleans charm... No days inn or super 8 kind of things.
