NEW BIKE: QUESTIONS & COMMENTS

I agree with you guys above- get at least 2K broke-in miles on the thing, you'll be surprised at how things change. I've got the RS-3 carbon slip-ons, they work great. Not very loud, but when I twist the handle, the helmet grin appears like magic.

Yes...my can does get louder with the increase of rpm. I did not realize just how loud it was untill I let a buddy ride my bike. I couldn't believe how good the thing sounds when you are sitting by the road and the bike scorches by you. One thing I failed to mention.. the can I have now is on an FZR 1000 Yamaha but I am sure they would sound great on the Hayabusa. As a matter of fact, when my "00 Busa arrives I am planning to get the same cans for it.
Speaking of arrival...I have been sweating for a week now. My dealer told me last week "Just any day now". I just wish I knew which day now!?

The Tokico brakes should be a good unit. The company is not far from my home and they specialize in brakes. They build brakes units for several different car manufactures as well.

VALKLEX... Do not dill your slip ons, or try to remove the packing..take Jeffw's advice put the stock mufflers back on for engine break in... and while it's 20 degrees... ship your slip ons back to Yosh... they will install the competition baffle for you... if you attempt to service the CF slip ons yourself... you will mess up.

Also... I have the RS-3 CF slip ons on my 'busa... they did get progressively louder with use.

The rough idle may be from an improper set up throttle position sensor (TPS). That's a fairly trivial fix you can do yourself with a T-20 driver and a paper clip. Search on TPS for the detailed directions. Idle should be set at 1150. There's a knob on the right side to set it.

Shop manuals that explain TPS/idle setup etc can be had quickly from member Pranav at Suzi of Van Nuys for $63 818-994-2882 or
suzuki4u@earthlink.net. Got mine in 3 days.
