Picked up a used 2008 King today with 4500 miles.Test drove the bike 10 miles prior to purchase and all seemed fine. After getting the bike home and washing it I went for a ride, after about 10 miles noticed the front of the bike would bounce up and down when applying the front brakes until the speed dropped below about 28 MPH, then the bounce would disappear.Warped rotor?Seems funny to just happen out of the blue.Nature of the bike?Never seemed to do it during a test ride of 10 miles.

I agree with donco. Check the suspension settings. Also look at how the front tire is wearing. Mine was replaced under warranty @ 3500 miles because of scalloping. Dunlops are prone to abnormal wear patterns (my opinion/experience).

Doesnt this bike have Anti Lock Brakes? A defect with the ABS system would cause this symptom your explaining. I would check your ABS system.

Lastly, my problem with similar issue was front wheel bearing..

I just replaced the rotors on my B-king last night because I felt pulsating in my brake lever slowing down from about 30mph. I also replaced the brake pads. The really, super, cool, part is that when I test rode it after all the money I spent, the problem worsened! I spoke to specialist on the matter and he said that it could be that my new rotors are also warped. The boxes were pretty smashed but the rotors seemed fine so I bought them. I called the place I bought them from and they said they will replace them no problem. So next week when they get a new set, I will go get them and try again.
I will report when I get them installed.
