Anyone know what a 1993 ZX11 with 5400 miles might be worth

On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 7

Was laid over and cracked a fairing, nothing to bad and a small dent in the tank, also very small.

He is asking $1500

sounds fair as long as it runs good.

i mean there's some point where a bike stops depreciating as long as it stays running and looks decent.

prolly gonna need to replace the tires off the bat.

Make sure no electrical gremlins. Other than that I'd say get it. You can dust some people in full 90s fashion.

Sounds like a great buy if the mechanicals are good.

Chances are you'll at least need tires - too few miles on the bike to wear out the original tires, too old for them to be any good. Figure an extra $200.

Look for gas stains around the tank for signs of leakage. Could be expensive if you need to replace the tank. It gets hard to find tanks after the model has been out of production for 15 years.

Dent in the tank might be an easy fix. Find a paintless dent removal guy.

What I do like about the deal is that it is a big displacement bike. Bikes with bigger motors hold their value much better than smaller bikes.

check the trans for shifting problems there was a recall in the late 90's for problems so see if it was done. I had a 96 and loved it but it was a hard sell seemed nobody wanted it but it was good for 2 up riding. also the price seems very good. A guy at work has one I looked at before I bought the Busa. It was a 91 with 10k on it for $3800. Good Luck

i had a zx11 good bike it is a good buy if it runs out good check for rust on inside of tank and the transmission they were known for 2nd gear to go out on early models even when they were not abused
