Alright, when I installed my Micron over the winter I accidentally threw out the heat shields that came with the kit. I called Micron and found out something interesting, the tech said I should go ahead and replace the header gaskets when I install the full system.
He said with the busa, people don't replace them and before long exhaust and flames will shoot out of the headers. I had 3000 miles back then and brushed it off but it has definetly made me paranoid. I always place my hand in front of the headers and twist the throttle to feel for any pressure. Sometimes when I ride, I think I hear more sound from the headers than the canister. Is it my head or is this a known problem with busas?
