Need wider shifter "foot" after Buell peg mod

I did the Buell peg mod and adjusted the shift lever to comfort. With side stand up there is insufficient clearance between shift lever and side stand for my boot. I need a wider shifter "foot" in order to shift well. Anyone else run into this?

Ok, like a doof I did a search AFTER i posted.....my bad. I've got a couple ideas so hopefully one will work. I also gotta get the dremel out & trim a lil off rear brake adjuster to get it comfy without it butting up against the rear brake lever. Props to buda315 for the deal on this mod.

I went to the hardware store and got a piece of clear tubing. Adds abought a 1/4 inch all the way around and doesn't leave a black mark on your shoes.

I had the same problem. Went back to stock footpegs, but not because of that.

thats why my pegs are sitting in my toolbox. Went with the TL pegs instead.

My problem was solved by the "body" of an old LED bore light from Harbor Freight. Its kinda the same color as the maroon on my bike too lol.

I used a 3" piece of 5/8" I.D. rubber tubing I found lying around in my garage. works perfectly. Free.
