I am still in a sling but planning my rebuild being getting the parts I need, decided to go with used parts an a custom paint.
My question there are a few people here who have painted frames an the other side covers to complete a sharp looking custom look imo. When you did this did you actually paint the frame or get some sort of frame covers to paint over.

i polished mine. id get covers if i was doing it again or wanting it colored:beerchug:

The best looking way is to paint a set of the plastic frame covers.

I PREFER THE PAINTED FRAME FOR SEVERAL REASONS
NONE OF MY CUSTOMERS HAVE COMPLAINED YET AND LOVE THE LOOK.

FOR ONE
POLISH IS A ***** TO KEEP MAINTAINED.
NUMBER TWO.
IN ORDER TO CHROME
YOU HAVE TO DECONSTRUCT THE ENTIRE MOTORCYCLE.
SOME PEOPLE DONE WANT TO DO THAT.
THREE.

WHEN YOU DO THE COVER PLASTICS AS WELL
IT ALL TIES THE BIKE TOGETHER VERY WELL.
KEEP IN MIND
THIS LOOK IS NOT FOR EVERYONE
SOME PEOPLE ALWAYS OBJECT TO ANY
MODIFICATIONS UNLESS IT INVOLVES DRAGGING YOUR KNEES.

HERE ARE A FEW EXAMPLES OF SOME IVE DONE.
