Need help guys, new fork seals leaking..

I put new fork seals & fluid in 2 weeks ago. LA Busa helped me so I know it was done right. There has been slight residue on the lower part of the forks but barely any. Yesterday after a 15minute ride testing out brakes I noticed a quater sized spot on my carport under the left fork where the fluid was leaking. There was some build up of oil around the dust cover but the fluid stopped dripping and the spot on the ground never became larger than a quarter.

Any idea's on what might be the problem?

possibly installed backwards, bent fork, or maybe nicked the seal when reinstalling inner-tube inside outer tube.

I know they're installed right, part #'s facing up... but a nicked seal might be possible. Thanks for the insight dave.

When you pull it back apart, check fork tube for burs or dings that could damage seals. Wouldn't take much to ruin a seal. Just a thought.

check fork tubes for scratches happens to our dirt bikes often they get scuffs and won,t seal we have to sand them out with 600 grit sandpaper.
