Need Help from all the good folk

I must be missing alot or something.. I can't tell one bit of difference in the site today... and 6 months ago... other than all the mods seem to be freaking out.

and yes I know what your thinking rub.. but nope.. my biggest problem with that is your complete lack of tact, respect, or people skills... thats private stuff.. and I'm not bringing it out.. I just knew you would jump to conclussions and get yer panties in a wad if I didn't exclude it right off.

I'm talking about all this other stuff dire stuff that seems to be going on.

Either we've picked up some seriously bad people that I haven't noticed (kiddie porn would fall into that category of course) or we've picked up some people that can't find anything better to do that whine about every little thing that comes up on the boards.

I have no stats to back this up.. but it seems like we've had more topic deletions/post editing/mod intervention in the last 2 weeks than we've ever had in the history of this site.

2 months ago I couldn't even have told you who the mods were... Now half the threads coming or going are talking about modding this and modding that..

.. and I still can't one bit of difference in the site. We've had the occasionally half naked chic... but thats a pretty common thing... other than that.. all I've seen are a bunch of locked topics that topics or posts that disappeared for no apparent reason.


We seemed to be pretty much self moderating 2 months ago... whats changed?

I for one think the mods do a great job at keeping the questionable material at bay. The thing i hate is when ya get a few pages of something pretty good and someone comes along and posts something stupid and the thread gets deleted. i realize there is to much information and two time consuming to sort threw each response and filter out the bad. this board does a pretty good job at self policing and I'm glad to be here my hats off to all the mods and would like to say thank you. here is an idea shift the blame from yourself to the posting guilty party

Why should it be the mods defending themselves. There are rules and you either follow them or get out. If you get corrected by a mod, take it and move on.

I DO understand that there has to be certain limits, and people will always push the envelope, but sometimes I DO think the mods get carried away.
For the most part, I think the board does a good job of policing itself, but hey, how am I to say?
I think the mods do a good job, and do NOT get credit for what they do. I think you do a fine job.




But you gotta remember...I am just a NEWBIE..so what do I know?

Well put on both and could not agree more.

Maybe the reason for the increase in moderator intervention stems from necessity. If people would just abide by the orgs easy to follow rules, things would go a lot easier. It has been stated so many times I'm turning blue in the monitor! If you don't like our rules and just have to post things that would be considered inappropriate for the youngsters visiting the org, or disrespectful of female members or visitors you SHOULD find a site that caters to these types of posts. There are plenty of them out there.

Its just like everything else in this world, if you new everything that was going on and you had all the facts you would come to the exact same solution... You just have to trust the mods are doing what is right and move on.... If you get one of you post whacked then you just take your lumps and move on down the road.

The lack of the garbage is what makes this site so much better than the other ones. Whether it's from self-policing or moderators doesn't matter, keep up the good work and keep this place what it is. Great.

It is our pleasure to be here. I just got a call from Dave(Blk n BLU 04) his Dad's funeral was today, and yet he phoned to say thanks.(we here on the board paid for,and sent some flowers). He was blown away by the gesture. THATS why I'm here. To help the class people. Not to remove some picture that someone knows they shouldn't have posted.

We toss out potential scammers,we offer help just about 24 hrs a day,we exchange parts,etc etc....thats why its upseting to get a PM from somebody who thinks we are being rude or too aggressive.

I guess thats what promted this topic.

Some folks think the Org is great because they never really see any porn and stuff. Well,thats because of your Mod Squad.we are on alot,at different times of the day. Where do we draw the line you ask? Me personally...I guess. We are human too,and yes we are fallable. Better to hurt someones feelings by removing questionable material,than too upset 20 others by leaving it. Make sense?

all the mods are doing a great job.. remember if they want to delete something.. its because they are mods.. they earned that position and are intrusted to it.. they probably have a good understanding of what is happeninng and what needs to be done.

any way all i can say, i thought Rubba would be totally differenet.. he's really cool as a mod.. i was actually scared when i heard the news hes modman,, ..

i guess it changes you (becomming a mod).. so dont judge unless you have been in their shoes..

I always get on the org @ work and I've noticed that when I'm done I hit the x in the top right corner to leave the site (habit).When I do that way I'm still signed in and thats all someone has to do is look in the history or just search hayabusa,org and then click board and their in under busa boyz name.My point is when you leave the site it's best to log out to prevent anybody from possibly causing havoc.
