Need answer Positive wire Q

Gen II

Trying to use the License plate light to be my source for my GPS power supply.

I just want to make sure which wire is positive.

I looked on the turn signal light and the black/white stripe is attached to the bottom of the bulb while the gray wire is on the side of the bulb.


black/white stripe = Positive?

would it be ok to run my gps power supply straight to the license plate wires or I should install an inline fuse?

Even though it's wired through your fuse block, I would still install an in-line fuse with a smaller amp fuse.

But still need to figure out which is positive wire

PM me an email address and I will send you high-res .pdf of the wiring diagram....I am pretty sure the b/w wire is the ground wire. That grey wire changes to brown once it's gets to the plug which is further up under the seat/fairing....
