Need a little duno education

What wire coming out of the ECU can be used to pick up the RPM while running on a dyno?  Or is it best to just use the #1 coil wire?  

I have a apointment for a dyno-tuning and I would like to go in knowing as much as possible.  Anybody know of any "dynoing for dummies" posts?

Are you running the bike on a dyno or are you taking it to a tuner?

Taking it to a tuner, but I would like to be well educated before I go.

My apointment is at a local shop that is a DYNOJET dyno center. They are not a Suzuki shop but they are familiar with the 'Busa.

Even so I still want to know as much as I can before I go, you never know when they might try to feed you a line of BS.

Last time I went the dyno's software told them what wire to use. They picked it up right near my ECU under the seat, never raised the tank.
