FYI, in case anyone else is thinking about rebuilding their OEM brake MC

Here's the email I got from Babbit's - an OEM supplier:

Thank you for your recent online order.

This e-mail is being sent to you in regards to a recent online order that you have placed with us. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has contacted us in regards to this order, as this order contains one or more parts that are on a nationwide back order with the manufacturer. The part(s) that are back ordered are as follows with the estimated release date(s):
NO ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE 59666-44300 BOOT
Please be aware that this is a nation wide back order with the manufacturer, and these dates are subject to change based on the information provided by them.

I could probably source the part elsewhere if needed, but with an upgrade planned (braided lines & Brembo MC), I wanted to gauge the difference between a rebuilt OEM MC and the new stuff

Negative. Just the boot part is on backorder. Which is not included in the kit [#2] (even though it should be IMO, and maybe it is, but at <$4 USD ... I ordered it separate, just in case).

So that tells me they have the weather boot bundled in the kit but not available separately. Hope you're right, @Red05!
