I'm quite certain they were saying things like that when they first invented the telephone.
Although I still feel technology IS ruining our lives silently more and more everyday, I do keep up on the social evolution rather than falling behind - I have some friends that still don't email - MYSPACE is just another new gimmick to toy with. It seems very "dating" oriented, but I don't understand why these 19-20 year old hotties won't write me back!

As for you people that think it is only for kids, it's a social network. Just like life, Myspace is what you make of it. I don't seek out to meet new people on myspace but I use it to keep up on and in touch with people that I know that are overseas or still live back home. Technology will only rule your life if you let it. I only use technology to enhance my life, like meeting the people from this site. You guys are crazier then anyone I know on Myspace.

I agree with you guys, the media made myspace the social train wreck that it is.
Yes I am against these children portraying themselves as sexualy active adults but I despise
those of you that take the liberty to chat with them on any internet system. Those people that are sick enough to so that make a bad situation unbareable.
I think that children and teens are corrupted because they lack social interaction and sum their life up in a survey and a hand full of pics. They cant find self worth because they rate themselves on how many friends they have or the attention they can get. "We" meaning you parents should focus more on this before it gets worse.
Contrary to the statement above places like the .org drive values and comrodery amonst strangers and that really shows. That is the only reason I chose this site and do not register on multiple other sites.
