My trackday report from july 1

I've 11 pics for you guys!

I had a blast! It was hot, 99 degrees, but it was a dry heat

First time on this track and I like it much better than Big Willow. Its tighter and slower, my kind of track

Here's the layout;

Cotton corners was a lot of fun. A right/left/right combo
! I didn't like braking really late because there was a good size bump right at the beginning of the turn.

But once I was over the bump, time to dump the bike over to the right.

Way over at the apex

And then throw the bike over for the left hander!

Riverside was the fastest sweeper with a declining radius. Nice and wide at this section also. I loved passing slower bikes on the outside

Stay wide until the end, then crank it over for one of the fastest sections of the track!!

Can you believe I washed the bike!!

I had a feeling there would be photos, so I wanted the Busa's Black&Blue look'in good!!

My favorite turn, a triple/double apex sweeper. Lots of different lines lead to either 2 apexes or 3. 2nd gear turn, maybe 1st for the super agressive, my kind of turn!!!

Doesn't that black and blue look really fast  

 

Must be the fastest color!!

It was cool, but I liked the sweeper, cotton corners to the grapevine, the off-ramp, and riverside!

Lost hills always made me a little nervous if the front tire was going to stick as you go over the crest of the hill.

Outstanding photo's.....do they purposely dog leg the west straight to keep the speeds down?

Probably.

I like it!! They basically built a hill, as you dogleg left you go up the hill. The apex to the dogleg right is at the crest of the hill. More turns equals more fun for me!

Dang, Charles.  You really need to teach me how to do that.

I'm still learning myself. I'd love to do Freddy Spencer's school or Keith Code's school.
