My past toys to my Busa

OK, so two years ago I bought my first street bike. A Yamaha R6 - shiny and new; straight out of the crate. Maybe it wasn't the best bike for a motorcycle virgin, but a great bike just the same. I learned how to do wheelies, endos, burnouts, dismounts and other assorted fun stuff all in the face of death or serious injury.

"Bring it on!" I thought, until one day I dumped it while attempting an endo with a spin at the end. (never did get that one down)

After paying $135 to replace the footpeg and the brake lever, I decided maybe it was time to move on...

So I traded the mighty R6 in. But what do you buy after such a great bike?

I tried the world of cruisers....but not just any crusier - the biggest V-twin on the planet. The Honda VTX 1800 Retro.

It was a big, heavy, bad A$$ toy with gobs of Harley eating tourque.

And after having my Big VTX for about 3 months/2,800 miles, I decided it wasn't for me.

Sure, it was fast for a crusier - but nothing like my breath taking R6.

Much to my wife's dismay, I decided to once again move on.

I went to a different dealer this time - and I told the guys that I wanted the fastest thing they had. They told me they had the fastest thing "period". Something called a Hi-ugh-Boos-ugh. A what?

After looking at some pictures - I signed away and waited for my new baby.

You went from an R6 to a VTX1800 to a Bus. You are hot and cold like a woman.

At least you try everything once. I think the Bus will meet your needs as long as you got the rolling endos out of your system, pssst...the Bus doesn't like them

Both are good looking bikes. But the Busa is the only bike for me.

I recieved my 02' silver/grey about 3 months ago. What a machine!!!! It makes my VTX seem like a 850 pound bicycle with no power, and my R6 like a wanna-be toy. Don't get me wrong - I liked both of them when I had them. But there is simply nothing like a 'Busa. Since getting it I've had the opportunity to ride many other bikes like the GSX 1000, the R1, and even the RC51 - but none of them fit me or pleased me like my 1300. It's the only bike that I've had that completely pleases me. I do want to put on some Yoshimura pipes, and possibly this "TRE" thing I keep hearing about on this board to remove the limiter. Otherwise, I'll just be happy with it - until the next thing comes along.

That is different for sure but I don't in my book call that a cycle (I know thay call it that) the thing has 4 wheels last time I checked cycle is two... (not taking any cuts at you RadioRider) I would also say it will never see the road and I bet that thing did not run and was only for show..  If you had built something like that you would want to post facts about how it goes and not be happy to take wild guesses.

I saw it running on TV last weekend. The guy drove/rode it on to the stage. It did have a lot of body twist when he hit the gas.

Hey Stunnah - I'm glad you enjoyed.  I'm cool with that history lesson...[/QUOTE] (damning with faint praise?)  I am fairly new to the board (and computers in general) and just wanted try posting pics for the first time.  So if you guys (and gals) see a post from me, no matter how stupid it may seem - just clap your hands together and say "hurray for the retarded kid".
