Mounting new brake discs

Hi,
I ran into a strange problem (?) when mounting new discs (Moto-Master) on my 03 busa this afternoon. Is this gap between the wheel edge and disc normal?
I find this rather strange ..

Any thoughts?

As long as the rotor fits flush against the wheel and mounting holes line up. You are good. Weird how the rotor doesn't cover up the wheel surface.

The gap was extra visible due to black disc senter and wheel. Got much better when I painted the wheel centre black as well. All mounted and ready for testing tomorrow morning

No, its not normal. The wheel and brake should be flush around the hub area. If the wheel has been painted or is chrome, then that might throw off the install. I had to get a dremmel and grind the inside of the rotor a little. But it needs to sit flush and the holes need to line up.

After testing several troublefree miles I am really happy with both the function and look on these Moto-Master discs.
So pleased that I had to order the rear disc as well (vanity, I know)
