This is the new crank from Yamaha for the R1... note the throws are offset 90 degrees each instead of the normal 180.. I bet this has a new sound when running (probably a big $$ crankshaft to boot)

it is a direct spin off from the M1 motor.. Yamaha had this under tight wraps until the bikes release..

The motor is "allegedly" an almost identical clone to the M1 engine...

guess they could not work out the intake runners 'post' throttle bodies yet.. we want to narrow the intake runners to get the velocity up at low "R's" however...
