MotoGP Testing Resumes

I was reading about the MotoGP tests, which resumed in Sepang Malaysia today and it seems that Pedrosa may have a broken wrist or at least a broken bone in his wrist. Rossi and a few others also had off pavement excursions today. I am absolutely amped to see the first race in Quatar under the lights man.

It also sounds like Honda may not run Pneumatic valves after all. There are a few shots of Pedrosa's crash here.

Especially if Speedvision comes through with HD coverage! A night race in HD would be amazing! They are supposed to go live for the Daytona speed weeks.
ahh crap, don't say that man...

I trying to keep myself from buying a HD 3'X4' projector TV. Must pay off debts, that big screen would rock, must pay off debts, Nicky in HD stuff'in the smurf, etc...

I am so excited for this season! Qatar will be unreal....and my wife just gave me the OK for a 47" HD flat....I think a surroundsound setup is necessary for night racing. Will I have to wear my leathers to watch? Long live Costco! Raydog

My old Tv went out right before Christmas so we bought a real nice 46" Sony LCD and I cannot wait to watch some races in HD on this bad boy! I am of course assuming that Speed will include HD broadcasts once it starts it's service in February.

"Those who can already smell the rubber burning are probably antsy to see SPEED finally go HD in February, and while there's still a few weeks left until the channel serves up 100 hours of NASCAR coverage in high-definition, here's a few more details to tide you over. Starting on the 7th of next month, the channel will be covering the Gatorade Duel 150s, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race, NASCAR RaceDay and loads more surrounding the 50th anniversary of the Daytona 500. Additionally, it's aiming to bring other (read: non-live events) programming to high-definition as well, and according to SPEED's senior VP of production and network operations Rick Miner, the channel will be "transitioning all of its event programming to HD" over the course of the 2008 season. Oh, and just in case that wasn't enough for you gearheads, expect an all new interactive website to launch alongside the HD network, too".

You know, I still can't get SPEED in Center City Philadelphia, and because of the direction my condo faces, if I got satellite, I'd need to put the dish on the roof (which would pretty much require an Act of Congress). So maybe I need to buy the online MotoGP package and watch it on my computer. Anybody subscribe?

Hayden leads em home baby!!! Fastest of the entire test.

The one who is really impressing me is Lorenzo. Third overall and more than half a second faster than Rossi. He will surely get faster too. I know it's early but he could be one of the movers and shakers this year. Also worth noting is that none of the other Ducati's (aside from Stoner)were anywhere near the front of the time sheets.

So, Lorenzo on Michelins was faster than Rossi on Bridgestones?

THAT'S gotta sting a little...

Did anyone watch Pedrosa's post surgery press conference ? The text is available here . Dani takes a jab at Nicky

Screw Honda . They wanted the 800's for a reason and had enough pull to get what they wanted .

On another note . Kawasaki was running their traditional even fire Screamer engine yesterday . They will be relying on electronics to tame the beast if Kawasaki actualy decides to race it which is yet to be determined. Of course being an 800cc engine vs the 2005 990cc helps as well .

It will be a fun season and in my view if the Yamaha of Rossi's enjoys no DNF's from mechanical failures , it could be a long season for the rest of the pack .  He still has ability to get is head down and treat others as he did Sete' in 2005 . No quarter
