I have not hooked one up in your application. But I have in my Suzuki VS1400. Their multi-terminals provide a lot of options to make them work. Some have even done away with the "L" bracket.
Just in case you are interested, I'm in the middle of some torture tests on 5 different batteries. A MotoBatt is in the mix have a look here at the results. There is an equivalent Odyssey used in the same application in the mix too. You might be surprised by the results.
