Ok.. I'm sitting here working when I start getting emails from the national weather service (a good thing to subscribe to if you live in OK.)  These are parts of the emails I got.. notice the time between them:

11:45 - "No warnings expected.."

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORMAN OK
1145 AM CDT FRI MAY 16 2003

THIS SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY IS FOR NORTHERN CANADIAN AND
NORTHERN OKLAHOMA COUNTIES.

A SMALL CLUSTER OF STRONG THUNDERSTORM WERE LOCATED OVER NORTHERN
CANADIAN AND NORTHERN OKLAHOMA COUNTIES AND WERE MOVING NORTHWEST
AROUND 15 MPH.  THESE STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING SMALL

Mind you.. at this time its getting my attention but I'm thinkin.. who cares.. they said no warnings.. it can't be that bad.  At 12:25.. the tornado sirenes go off here in Edmond (northern OK county).  They immediately come on TV saying there is a tornado at 15th street.. I'm on 2nd street about a quarter mile over.. right in its path.  It goes up and down as i watch the rotation moving down the street.. never hitting the ground.

Anyways.. all is okay here but that was sure a fun lunchtime.  We're not out of the clear yet though.. there are more coming this way for the next several hours.
 
I sure don't miss the ones in Iowa and Arkansas.... I feel for ya.. nothing like a dark GREEN sky.
