More headlight questions

I've been reading comments on replacing the headlight bulbs with HID or SilverStar lamps. I have a question that maybe one of you guys can answer. If you google an H7 bulb it comes up with a millon options. Many are claiming to have a 85-100watt replacement bulb that will only draw 55watts like the stock bulb. I want as brite a bulb as I can get without going HID (cost prohibitive!) but I don't want to melt down the wiring. What is your feelings on these bulbs that offer the higher wattage with out the higher draw? Is anybody using a higher watt bulb? I saw pics on here of a headlamp melt down, and I don't want to be that next one. PIAA offers them as well as a few others.

If you are going for light output and price, Silverstars are hard to beat. They are noticably whiter and provide very good light for $20.00 a bulb. Besides HID, I would go with silverstars.

Be careful with higher watts, heard about melting the housing.
Silverstars are nice.

Post up and see if you can find someone to split an HID package. Would be about $100 each.
