lol... in NYC.. they have "stop and frisk".... which is where the police can stop a person and pat them down if they have reasonable cause for the stop and frisk... its a VERY controversial policy that some say unfairly targets certain people...…… anyhow.... it seems to be highly effective as the bad guys are SCARED TO DEATH to get caught with a weapon.

Used to do trade shows in Chicago every year back in the 90's. One of our then dealers got shot just going out for a morning jog. Its just gotten worse since then. Place is just out of control!

Inside city limits to my knowledge.
Unfortunately, we had another LODD near me yesterday and the shooter is still on the run. The officer was 30 and just short of his three year anniversary with his dept.
