Where did you place the stickers that are required to get on a military installation?  I haven't found a good place to put them without it looking awful.  I thought about putting them on a piece of tin then cutting it to fit under the windscreen between the dash.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Tony

Aren't there still pretty specific instructions on where to put them? If you have a choice I would stick them right along the bottom of the windscreen, something sort of disposable, them sticker are a Beeaatch to get off... Fork leg might be other option but I am willing to bet the SF's/MP's have some pretty good answers for the "Where can I put the Stickers Question."

fork no good not enough room im on a marine base so the mps are real strict i 1st put it on my windscreen then i bought a double bubble so i had it put on the left inner fairing so all the mp has to do is look down when you come through the gate and its not noticable(unsightly) only person who sees it is you and the mp of course

For the base access stickers they need to be on the side closest to the gate gaurd. If you driving on the right side of the street have it on the left side of the bike. If you drive on the left side of the street have it on the right side of the bike.

To answer you question I have mine placed on the forks. You can hardly see them and the gate guard has to bend over to see them. They get alittle upset sometimes...but I tell them hursh and do your job. *winks*

BTW don't ask the SF/MP's some don't understand the value of paint or fairings... Leave it to them they will have your base sticker on your Kanji.

When I was in (older Marine here), I put it on the left fork of my ZX-7. Trying to get that damned thing off after two years of baking in the Hawaiian sun is a nightmare I'm not likely to relive.

If I were you, I'd try to get a small (4"x3") aluminum sheet that use the brake caliper bolts to attach to. I've seen the "Hardley riders" get away with it so there should be no issue there...

Then again, it's mostly blue-sticker guys doing that (you know what I'm talking about).

If not there, maybe the mirror?

OH Hey Thats a good idea, Remove your Left Front Reflector and replace it with something just big enough to hold your stickers. You could even use the Bracket that used to hold on the reflector or fashion yourself something new altogether. Then when you want that sticker off just one bolt and away you go.

Thanks for the ideas.  I did not have a problem putting them on my other bikes.  I just don't want to mess up the good looks of the Hayabusa.:D

Those damn blue sticker types.  I guess you are referring to the RLO's  Even though I have a blue one I'm a warrant officer.

I've seen those Harley riders with that aluminum plating... And I've seen it on a sports bike...it just doesn't fit. The sport bike is all aerodynamic then you got this 5" piece of metal sticking out... My personal preference is the fork.

On Cherry Point the only place they will let sportbike riders put the sticker is on the bottom of the windscreen. I wanted to put it above the left fairing next to the gas tank but was told that the sticker wouldn't stick there even though there was a gsxr750 with it placed right there sitting right next to me. Then I thought about putting on the left fork but thats where the stated inspection sticker is so I pretty much had not choice on this one. Even though there are guidelines on placement each base will have its own personal preferences.

I cut a piece of plexiglass that fits between the windscreen and the black plastic above the guages......works great..........plus you don't have to have it on your bike all the time.

Longbow, Aren't you at TC Bravo right now? Checking all driver's ID's? If you have a Air Frames/Sheet Metal shop on base, go over there and have one of the guys/gals there that ride cut you a plate and mount it on the left where the stock front reflector mount is... The SF guys will bitch, but F'm it's your bike, just ask them for the mounting guide and put it on the plate and then score it with a razor so it cannot be removed in one piece, that will at least partly satisfy the SF guys... I always hook up with the one or two SF guys that ride and they get the rest off your back...

I put mine vertically on the left side of the lower part of the fairing covering the front tire. It basically is parallel to the front fork. No problems.

Thanks all for the replys.  I am going to try the plexiglass between the windscreen and the dash.  If that doesn't work to well then I wanted to get rid of the reflectors anyway.  So I will try that.

Again Thanks,

Tony
