Tomorrow Friday 13, (aint I the lucky one?) I go to Valley Hospital to have
the rest of my Thyroid out. Had the 1st half out in '65. Thanks to a procedure
call NRI (Nasopharyngeal radium irradiation). done in 1945. But I got off easy:
Other victims had numerous treatments and for other conditions like shrinking
Adenoids this Radium tipped rod would sit for 10 to 12 minutes. Causing brain
cancers, sterility etc. But I only had it 1x for a couple of secs. Still enough
to cause some hormone probs. Johns Hopkins started this mess and never
'fessed up. Still a lot of ongoing investigations, however. Practice ceased in
60's.
Would appreciate some positive thoughts, not asking for prayers, feel sorry
for anyone going to the knees without the benefit of my custom kneepads.
Might be more fun to grab a rattle and dance naked around a pentagram.
So after tomorrow, be gone for a couple of days.

Thanks, brothers, appreciate prayers. But would you believe, would you BELIEVE, that I
had a Crip stop by, hold my hand and pray for me tomorrow. But notice I didn't ask
for prayers, because I thought that might be kinda phoney because I'm not that much
of a believer and I take things head on solo, and I like to throw away crutches. But that
radiation thang really fk'd me up and here I am pushing 70 with no family or kids, but that's OK I'v got friends who really care. And I'm glad I made more on this site.
