making noises on bumps

have an o5 with about 950 miles on it last night riding around i started hearing noises going over bumps railroad crossings it sounds like a metallic rattling noise coming from the front fork area it makes the noise even with the clutch and brake pulled in i took off the seat and raised the tank everything seems to be tight i dont want to leave it at the dealer if it is something simple has anyone else heard or fixed this type of noise
 
Its under warranty, use it while you can!

I dont know if Zook has done anything about this one...

but it seems that the steering dampner clunks about.

Mines been doing it for years.

like rubber says-- last two busa's did the same thing. got me real paranoid at first.a friends 02 ,guess what, the same.
 
i went out and checked the dampner it does have alot of movement if i grab it and move it up and down but the bolt that holds it in place is tight i may have to take it in the morning and have it checked out at least for peace of mind thanks for the help
 
yes add some butyl paint to the ring where connects and it will lessen the clunking.

just move it up and down and you will see where it is making the noise
