Lowest & Highest MPG?

Vacation in colorado, thought my mpg computer was malfunctioning. It was 'pegged' at 50.0 I actually was getting 51-52 mpg when I calculated it. It happened only twice, both in colorado. Normal 34 mpg.

Last year I made a slow interstate run, never over 4000 rpm, most of it around 3500 rpm and some at 2500 rpm through about 15 miles of road rework. The gas milage on this stretch of interstate, with all stock bike, for a distance of 125 miles was 57 miles per gallon. The reason I rode so slow, was the officer gave me a warning the last time he stopped me.

gas mileage:
9,400 miles... highest @ 42, lowest @ 34 mpg; at the lowest, 8,300 miles, still had the original plugs, air cleaner: installed new plugs, cleaned air cleaner, cleaned throttle bodies with "Q" tips and carb claner ... last 1,000 miles back to 39-40 mpg;

typical ride is thorugh canyons, two up, average 30 to 70 mph;
