well I've heard alot about people lowering their bikes and riding double and having the tire drag....well I have mine lowered 2" rear and had myself (170lbs) and my brothers friend(240) on the busa and the tire didn't drag.....sweeeet

I was thinkin it was going to...it was damn close but it didn't.....

I now feel safe giving rides to a a small 100-150lb women on the back.

you may not have to worry much about the tire dragging on the inner fender but if i was you i would be worrying about the bottom of the left and right fairings scraping the ground. especially if you hit a bump or pothole. i had mine lowered 3in in the rear and i weigh 150 and i hit a bump and it bent the bracket that my belly pan bolts to, not to mention it scraped my belly pan and scraped the bolts underneath so bad i had to drill them out.

man I see I couldn't spelll last night....damn....

yeah lucky the area I went for a ride didn't have many bumps.

Dude! Surely you know the "more balls than wheels" rule! Please tell me that the 240lb friend of your brother was a heavy chick! :super:

sorry it was a guy....he just HAD to have a ride on the busa...and well I couldn't have him riding my baby so I took him out on the interstate and scared the poop outta him...he came back with legs shaking...yelling at me to let him off....yeah...he won't be riding with me again and I doubt he'll ever consider even getting the busa....he was honestly scared outta his mind.....  I thought it was hilarious.

he couldn't...cuz he was froze like a deer in headlights...freakin out too much.

Your pretty safe with a 2" drop, if you go 3" that's when the rubbing starts...  I had mine dropped 3" with an aftermarket tail kit and a hugger and it would rub. Changed back to a 2" drop and sold the hugger...

why get rid of the hugger?? Doesn't your new undertail get beat up with sand and rocks that your tire kicks up?

I dropped my 03 this weekend 3" and it rides like sh_t. Bumpy, but it has great handling. The rear wing scrapes every bump in the road. God forbid a speed bump. I weigh 205 and my girl weighs 126lb and it was flat on the ground. Couldnt ride. So next weekend I'm taking it up a hole or 2. I have straps on the front. See you in Daytona!
