LOWERED FOOTPEGS ANYONE?

So now what? You're making fun of people who own Arai RX-7 RR4 Helmets!! One ***hole at a dealer tells you his RX-7 RR3 helmet is noisy at speeds above 140mph and you ASSume all by your lonesome that the RX-7 RR4 is noisy??? So lets see now, TL-1000R pegs and Arai RX-7 RR4 helmets.....Any thing else you want to rag on? Oh by the way, those washers you placed under the screws on the pegs, so the screws wouldn't protrude through the tops of the pegs; Do you have a part number on them, or should I just keep adding more washers until the pegs out weigh the ***king bike and look so big and bulky that they scrape the ground. Let's face it, you're modified pegs look like an abortion!!!!! Break down and buy some real pegs. So now that I've stuped to this level, when are you getting your saddle bags???.........PS can't wait for my Blue Busa to arrive and go out cruising. Are you picking up VMAXGT's Busa with him? I don't have my truck set up yet to carry the bike, so I hope you guy's have good weather that day.

GSXR 750 pegs work great. They're set about an inch lower and they have a non-slip surface. The look is OEM. They're expensive about $85/set. I'm 6'4" and they work for me.

COLT BUSA TURBO: Sold it at $1.00. Thanks for the idea! Made mucho bucks. Maybe i can (ahem) afford the pegs now. I am going to kick your Mammoth 230lb Butt when i see you!

TO EVERYONE ELSE:
Wow! the GSXR750 pegs lower it 1 full inch.
Thats great! I only got 1/2" by slicing.

Jr7501, please be absolutely sure of that statement. Have you measured or are you assuming by FEEL that you gained an inch of clearance? Either way is signifigant but for me this is a crucial issue with this bike. I just want to be sure I'm understanding you exactly. GSXR750 factory suzuki pegs that I can order tomorrow will get me an inch of additional clearance??????? What makes it doubly attractive is the fact that cornering clearance wont be compromised because of the small feelers. Waiting to hear from you jr7501..................

jr7501--I am also interested in more detail. Would you or anyone else for that matter have a photo of this set-up?? If so, pls. post it on Labusas or ??
Thanks
Bob

Bob I don`t have pics but I can assure you it works I have a set on my blue one. Choas arise showed me his and I had to have a set...they look killer with every thing else chromed. They are much shorter and not as thick. Remember to get the sleeve that goes inside at the pin. I also put rear 750 pegs on also so they would match.

Chris, if thats true then the TL pegs would be better still. They are the same exact configuration and have a very thin rubber coating that would match the rears perfectly.

What are you bitching about, you bought it at .66 and it's at 1.00 ......OH STOP YOUR CRYING ALREADY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I posted the part numbers I beleive awhile back. you can use the GSXR600-750 the TL1000s or Tl1000r pegs and you also need the bushing that goes in the spring.Or you can do the same with the ones from Lockhart

I'm gonna do what you did first, bimmer. I'm also takin the feelers off. They're so long to protect the twin smokers which will be gone. With an oval can the outside of the peg will touch first. I'll let you know how it works for me.

I think you need to hold the factory busa pegs and the 750,tl1000 pegs in your hands and check the angle of the casting of the two at equal points. I think you will find that there is not that much difference in the two.
It may be a coincidence but I held my 95 GPZ1100 pegs with less rubber, next to the 00 busa pegs with lots of rubber, and the height was identical!

Sorry to just now get back on the thread.
No, I didn't measure, but "feel" that I got an inch out of the GSX-750 pegs. Remember, I'm 6'4', 253 lbs. and the "feel" between the OEM and the 750 pegs was big for me. Also, no pics but, take a close look at a 750 the look is generally the same.
