I got a few hundred miles on them now and really like them. i am coming off of the stock tires though so i guess anything would feel better. on the stockers i had about 1/8 chicken strip. these are just about out to the edge. now i just have to to the jinksters suspension setup.

I second your opinion on the Powers. I've gone through 2 fronts and 3 rears. They warm up quickly and are really grippy. I've been getting around 4,000 miles out of the rear tires. They aren't the best thing in the wet, though.

As far as suspension goes, make sure you set your spring sag before you do anything else. Shoot for 30 - 35 mm in the rear, and 35-40 mm in the front with you on the bike, dressed to ride. Then you can fiddle with the damping.

i burned a set in 6 weeks/6500 miles

Despite Jinkster's outstanding review, I went with the plush powers and like you, from the stock tires. It feels like a different bike, very grippy tires and I have a bit more confidence now and think they're helping me to ride better.

My chicken strips are huge, can't hardly find a curve anywhere to save my life, which why I went plush.

I did the air brake removal mod (mudflap) and the rear power looks beastal sitting back there all naked, like it could eat the road for breakfast.

does this matter w/ the weight of the rider? i'm curious because i'm 250lbs and 6'2". thanks

i have pilot powers as well and i love em'. they ride so much better in the twisties than the bridgestones.

I've just about used a set up; right at 4000 miles. Much better grip and wear than the stockers. I'm going to try a set of Pirelli Corsa III's next, just for the sake of experimentation
