Loud backfire with airshifter

I had a air shifter installed on my 05LE. Now when i use it at tha track it back fires like a shotgun every time i shift. Why does it do this ? And can it hurt my engine ?

I dont think it will hurt it,I hear this alot, but I think you may need to shorten the kill time a bit.

Yep, shorten the kill time. What it is doing is killing the spark, but not the fuel. It fills the exhaust with fuel and when the engine refires, it burns the fuel in the pipe all at once, causing the boom.....

Shorten your kill time up till it barely misses the shift in a side parking lot and then turn back a little,it should stop.
