I just installed my new buell pegs and was all set to adjust the shifter and ran into problem...see i have it set up for GP reverse shift pattern( tried it a few years ago and have never gone back) so I was adjusting it and ran out of shifter rod length...I tried to move the front part of the shifter linkage back but kept hitting the kickstand bolt...so I go to the dealer to see if they had any longer shift rods. I figure that I only need a half inch longer to do what I want. I checked against 2007 gixxer1000 and went tht way. The guy at the parts counter did a search and came up with 2 different part numbers...165 and 185. which would be stock??? Seems like suzuki has provisioned an extra shift rod for GP style shifting. ANyone know which one I should order??

thx

I went through this a few years ago with my Buell pegs but for a different reason. I went onto Pro-bolt.com and this is what they had listed at the time. I never pursued this but it could fly.
