Yeah it may not look all that great but it keeps the your butt and the "boys" cool which helps reduce muscle fatigue. Also your entire butt isn't in direct contact with the seat which also helps with muscle fatigue. When you start to feel a little tense in one area just slightly adjust yourself and it goes away.

Stock all day , a lot of 400-600+ days, 39 states. I wouldn't mind getting some better foam since I have a tobin seat now

Stock for me as well. I have enough built in cushion that it does not bother me. Would like to get a nice custom cover for it though.

I used a Corbin and have done 3 SS1000 rides. The welting was coming apart and Corbin wanted a small fortune to re-cover the seat and 3 weeks down time. I sent it Laam seats and Seth Laam re-covered it with out the welting and added a heater for about the same money as a Corbin re-cover. I also got it back in less than a week. Doing a 50CC ride next month, coast to coast in less than 50 hours.

Okay Bob - now this sounds like fun.

Be sure and take some pics for your fellow IBA Nutjobs.

Corbin here as well. 500 miles is not a problem...
