with a plate number someone can get another persons name, address, VIN, driving record, etc, etc almost everything. There are a few sites on the internet that all you do is type in the plate and BAM!(hehe) you know alot about someone else.

Idenity theft, Busa theft, someone kicking your but.... There are a lot of weirdos out there and I don't want them knowing my tag number. My .02.

Not to mention that the plate Identifies the bike and someone my come knocking on your door with a citation.

Your license plate is considered "Public Information". Use to be any person with a reasonable reason of needing this information can go to DMV and purchase your personal information by filing a form and paying a small fee. They can get your address/other cars registered to you/ etc. This may have changed lately. Just like anyone can go down to the court house and pay to get any informtion on you thats filed there. It also is "Public Information". No wonder people get stalked and killed now days.

Hahahaha! that was funny, but I expected something strange. I don't worry because anyone could easily walk up to my bike and see my tag. I don't get the secrecy. And for the people that I have pissed off on some of these boards......I would like to draw most of them a map to my place.
