Is it correct that the Gen 1 and Gen 2 levers are the same fitment? I don't see why they would change this part.

AK,essentally they are the same but issue is the hanblebar setup on gen2 is more forward and the inners are buulkier so if not adjusted correctly they can touch at the full locking positions..

My understanding is that they are not the same and do not fit both Gens; at least for Pazzos and CRGs... could be wrong though

All I can say is I took the Pazzo shorties off my '06 and put them on my '08. No issues....

Levers are exactly the same on Gen I & Gen II. That's not the issue.

As Daniel mentioned, the shape of the plastics is different on the Gen II.
