the latest virus to hit, came yesterday.

I noticed it while accessing some message boards, some VERY slow!

I received over 10 of these emails to my various email accounts. It has a topic that starts with "RE:" and looks legit.

THEN, you look at the body of the message and it says:
<span style='font-size:13pt;line-height:100%'>"The message cannot be represented in 7-bit ASCII encoding and has been sent as a binary attachment."</span>
and it includes an attachment. dont open it.

The biggest problem with this is it has slowed down the internet. So if you are experiencing slowing, that is why.

I have received about 100 emails this morning with the virus attached..... Sometimes its not so nice to be popular....

anybody with a standard email server will get it. there is no target, just an insanely widespread email virus.

do not open the attachment, which is a screen saver, or .scr file. I have torn into one of the files, and is harmless when contained, but you don't want it on your cpu.

delete it, empty your trash bin, and deleted files.

Rec'd it twice already, but in a different format. Mine was like a bounced e-mail and said it was unsendable to an AOL address due to an unfixable virus. Had an attachment...
