Looks pretty cool, I especially like what you've done with your inners (the thingies between the tank and fairing uppers). The sound system sounds like a great idea, but kinda impractical for over here (On the Autobahn, I think you'd need trailer full of additional amps and batteries to hear anything ). I'm curious as to how you got the second battery stowed, and if you had to make any modifications to the generator/regulator to keep it charged.
I also love your polished cans. Do you have a "how-to" for getting the stock aluminum looking like that, or are they factory polished?
Oh, yeah, how bout some pics of the inside of the hump?
Overall, great job![/QUOTE]
Thanks for the kind word but I dont want to sound like an azz but I'm going to keep this project a stealth operation for now and I dont wont show or say how how I put the whole sound system together (amp, battery etc). I've been running this setup for over three months with no ill effect on my charging system , now its just a completely enclosed weather proof kit compared to last year when I started this project .
The cans where hand polished by me . I started out by using a flexible strip wheel thats is used to remove paint from wood trim that I bought from Walmart. This will help take down the machine grooves on the cans very quickly compared to doing it by hand.
I used this link Wards Web but made some adjustment to it by using a strip wheel rather than a sanding block . Once all the grooves are removed from using the strip wheel start wet sanding with 220 grit all the way up to 1500.
