rossi and the duc just arent gettin along right now but this was one of the most insane moves ive ever seen. rossi is definetely old school. you WILL move or he WILL move YOU!
While waiting for FP3 --- you bet, he'll still move you out of the way and could be as fast as he ever was but i think for next year they are just about going to have to get away from the big bang engine for Ducati to be competitive. Perhaps even a perimeter frame for GP use only - something Ducati doesn't want but they will have to do something.. The motor don't have near the POP in it as the 2007-2008 more of an even fire configuration and vibration is a problem that would be fixed if so. That thing was loud and unruly those years. Distinct difference in the exhaust note of the two configurations . VR46 , Burgess and Ducati is currently in limbo of sorts . JB is in Nicky's garage this weekend as well though.
Now that rule changes are settled in for the 990's, Yamaha is going to have a killer 2012 inline and might even use a V-4 engine configuration as time goes on. Once developed they could lease the inline to say, Tech 3 .
I wish Suzuki could have kept Hopkins around for further development. Not that i think he's all that but he was in the mix of it last season with Suzuki until more money and promises took him to Kawasaki which economic times caused an undoing and ultimately it cost less for Kawasaki to pay him in full for the second season of his contract - while Kawasaki folded up the garage and didn't run one race. Speaking of , that last Kawasaki was a good race bike . Too bad things went how they did.
Sorry for the long one kinda sorta - since i was a kid i have ate up GP racing , all i could find and absorb. The future of it is brighter than ever in many regards .
I wish rules would allow a couple more liters of fuel - Suzuki needs it for mapping HP on the straights but that would help Honda as well so nix that for now
While wishing - i wish WSB could get in step with the live race feeds - Thats killer racing as well .
