i have the clear taillight lens for my 2008 hayabusa

1st question i would like to keep my stock turn signal bulbs, so do i need to use the 2 resistors that came with the taillight lens

2nd if i replace my turn signals front and rear, what size bulbs 1156 or 1157

Add inline a 8 ohm 20 watt resister to each side can get them at any good electronics store.
