Kind of excited

So I was planning to make a carbon light holder for my b king. But I just found out that the public library here does 3d printing for free! And they have a material that will end up like frosted glass! Time to get designing.

Anyone have experience with 3d printing? How durable is the item printed. My plans are to make a base and a lens and put together.... Any info would be great if you've ever printed anything.

The 3D printing we do at my office is not that durable, but it is fine for making a mold. I bet your library has a size limit too, as that stuff gets expensive pretty fast.

They have a 7 day time limit. I've never done it but can it take that long?
