I've been wanting a GPS to use on my bike as well as in vehicles and have held off purchasing...UNTIL NOW.

It won't be available for another 2 weeks but I'm pretty excited for it to get here. :please:

What is everyone else using? Pro's and Con's?

Oh Mellow77 you're really going to like the 660. My friends all have the 550 and they say it's the cats meow. I have a Garmin Quest II which allows me to use on bicycle, motorcycle, in truck and hiking. Route to and turn by turn voice directions included. Fits nicely on the center of the triple tree top using Cycle Gadgets rubber mount. Congrats on the garmin! :thumbsup:Wardie

Thanks Wardie! A friend of mine works for Garmin and she's been telling me about all the goodies. Once I took a look I handed over the money.

Sorry to disappoint...but I guess I could make up some kind of story if it'd help.

Suggested Retail Price: $ 799.99 USD ? ??? I never had one but that seems really high to me ?

They are definitely proud of them. They now have 3D building models built into them. Also comes with mounts for the bike and cages along which was important to me. You can also pre-determine routes and then load them onto the device for those awesome backroads routes.

If my friend wasn't passing along a generous employee discount I wouldn't be buying one.

that looks like an A+ product :beerchug:

TomTom Rider 2 for a Christmas gift it's ok but a Garmin 550 would be a better unit except vibration can give it a short life

If you haven't paid for the 660 yet, check out the Garmin Nuvi 500 - designed for auto/motorcycle/marine/hiking - it's shock and waterproof. Wife got me mine for Christmas and I use a Ram stem mount. Works flawless and looks sharp! It's much less bulk than the Zumo 450/550 and half the cost of the 660. TONS of features as well. I was going to have her get me the Zumo til I saw the Nuvi 500. It also has an 8hr lithium battery so you don't necessarily have to hard wire it to the bike and still use it for extended periods of time. Our Magellan in the car is lucky to run for 2 hours on the battery which is the case with a lot of GPS units for autos.
