JUST made it..

This AM some friends and I were supposed to meet to ride at 11:30. At 11:00 it looked like rain (and it was in the forecast both yesterday and today- just never came yesterday). Well it spat at 11:00 for like 10 min and that was it.. One of the crew and I decided to head out w/our bikes for a late lunch at 1:30PM. We ate, watched some of the game, and headed for home, which was around 2:50PM. On my way back I could see the black clouds down over my house. I pulled in the driveway and as soon as my tires hit our pavement, *** WHAMMO*** mother nature turned it on full throttle.

And the rain we're getting now would not have been fun to ride in! Whew.

Yeah....a friend of mine in Silver Spring said he got a nice hard downpour for a short period of time so I'm sure it's coming my way (south).

rode my bike from MS to IL yesterday right through the storm...i knew it was bad but when i got home and turned on the news, they started talking about people drowning, being struck by lightning, etc...i sure am glad i didn't know how bad it was while i was in it
