Firstly all of the scammers with extremely low prices are getting caught faster. So what thieves are doing now are raising the prices, but still keepoing the same M.O. Private bidders only, also look at the history. They bought a lot of items that cost between $1 and $5. Just becasue you see someone with 50 positve remarks means nothing. Just think if o bought 100 items for $1. I get positive feedback for paying promptly. Never sold anything, and started my ebay account 3-6 months ago then i am selling a 6-7000 dollar bike. Doesnt add up. So now when people look at my responses they feel more comfy witrh me. The true test email the guy say you want to buy and you live in that town they live in. Ask how do i pay you. If they say paypal cool, if they say western union or wire transfer and they will ship then its a scam.
You're right every thing on ebay is not a scam, i bought and sold my bikes on ebay.
But ask yourself this look at all the bike auctions most of them have things in common. The true Bidding process, the prices are in line with market demand, and if you looki at their history they have bought and sold like items in the past. i.e. parting out old bike parts, bought new items to go with newer purchases etx.
THe reason i put these out there is to inform. Becasue out of the thousands that read the ebay posts they make profit off of just one dupe!!!
