Is David Lee Roth gay?

WOW!! And I was actually a fan of Van Halen. Don't look startled people.

Some music I can do and some I can't. Same way people used to portray The ARTIST "Formerly Known as Prince" He always came across with a gay-type demeanor, but I think that persona is what sold him... and not only his musical talents.

My favorite singer of all time is an admitted bi-sexual, or at least he admitted to that in the 70's. He's now happily married to a beautiful model and happens to be one of the wealthiest rockers around, even now. I don't care who he's slept with, I love him and millions of fans can't be wrong...

...he's not riding around in pink Jeeps though...that should be illegal...

I knew someone might think this was a gay bashing thread BUT,  I expect a gay performance from Freddy Merc, Elton John ... I enjoy their music too. But I didnt see it comin from one of my ol faves. Ruined the image I had of him...   Sorry Dave, but your no longer on my list.

I dont think that anyone was trying to bash the fact that he may or not be GAY.
I think it was more of the fact that being DLR, (and being a guy that can have his pick of the litter), how could you be GAY?

If I only listened to music from heterosexuals I would miss allot of good tunes.

I saw VH back in 84 and they rocked the house

Ha!  I hear Gunny,  dont get me started on Values ...   It is shocking whats acceptable today and what isnt.

You can see every kind of horror, murder, rape, porno ... on tv, web and video game and that's ok, BUT you better not be politically incorrect or say something that may offend.

Peoples standards change ALL the time.  Gods standards do not.

No one here cares if he's gay or not. The question was "Is he gay" The answer is yes, its not a judgement its just facts. Now I ask Does have a BUSA?

Once again, IQ's plummet across Hayabusa Land...

Who gives a rats azz if he's gay? What possible difference does that make unless you are hoping to hook up with him? What matters is the performance, was it a good show???

Seriously, think about it. Otherwise all we get is a bunch of semi-conscious homophobics thumping their chests in an attempt to convince someone...ANYONE, that they really aren't gay...

It's a sad statement about the community in general that we cannot evolve beyond this adolescent BS...

Grow up folks, if you need a freaking clue I'll mail you one...

I pick on my gay friends just as much as my staight ones. And I'll listen to whatever ROCKS, Rob Halford of Judas Priest has been out of the closet for years now but they are still in my ipod.

Homophobia, although the term sounds like a desease of some sort, is only contempt or prejudice towards homosexuals. Homosexuality holds no contempt against anyone, it only pertains to sexual preference. Geez Thrasher, we've already had this discussion

I'll just say this...I'm known by friends as being a huge Van Halen fan - at least until DLR left...he was the show and in my opinion the best front man ever...not to mention Van Halen had a unique sound that has never been duplicated.

Having stated that, back in the early 80's that kind of front man performance (although I admit looks gay by today's performances) determined huge success or failure for a band and I actually envied DLR because that guy likely pulled more than this entire board...hey, I was a young teenager...what do you think was on mind 24/7 other than motorcycles?

Problem is that act has sailed and I think VH fans appreciate the music itself more than a 53 year-old DLR jumping around. I just refer back to the memories of the Van Halen concert in 1984 and that's how I want to remember them.

Why? Well it's more related to hate and fear. Homosexuality is related to sexual preference.

One is symptomatic of an underdeveloped frontal lobe, insecurity, and in many cases latent homosexuality. The other is just a sexual preference.

Homophobia means you are an A-hole, while homosexuality means you like a-holes, which brings around to the whole latent homosexual thing.

Otherwise, it's just me stirring the pot and scaring up all the real insecure folks cause it's cold and shiddy out and I want to go ride... AKA, nothing new.

Yeah, I was pretty pissed when DLR left VH... It was never the same, Hagar had nothing to add and wasn't anything new or interesting. Not even Eddie's guitar could save em' after DLR left. Sound changed for the worse...

I had never seen the boys live and I just wanted to see Ed play, and so I got my $ worth ...   He was steller!  Alex also did a kickin solo!

Over all I enjoyed it. Probly wont see them again.

Daves style and performance wasnt like any video I had ever seen him in, so I posed the question.  Nuff said.

What was wrong with the seat though... $150 seat I'd expect to be sitting with Eddie's Wife... Or David's Boyfriend I suppose.
