Is $6000 too much for a modded 99 busa?

Paid more for my 1999 , no nitrous. 8000 original verified miles. More than twice the bike value in upgrades, however....

I agree the early busa's are not worth the hassle in fueling and starter related issues.

is it that bad once you get it ironed out? I would imagine it's possible to retrofit or replace what ever goes wrong with a later model gen 1 parts

No, it is not worth the hassle IMHO, unless you have to have the copper color which was only available ever on the 1999 original model.

As of September 20, 2005, that bike had 23,271 miles. I know, I inspected it. No cams, but a good-running, well-maintained bike (first owner). Last we saw this bike was in December, 2012. . .:laugh:

If he is lying about the mileage, who knows what else is not right with it. Best to move on to a nicer bike.
