So in preparation to race this saturday I went out of town on a deserted county road and practice launching. I've never gotten on the throttle wide f'ing open in first gear from a stop.

well I've been riding dirt bikes since I was a kid and I know how to slip the clutch pretty well off the start. I'm hoping that my first pass is mid to low 10's and into the 9's after a few passes.

If you have been racing drit bikes (holeshot) you are half way there...the rest is shift points and keep the front down...Good luck.

See my posts in the RACING(1/4) section for some tips. Just be careful and have fun, that's all that matters even if you do run slow times.

Let us know how you do.
